Who we are

This website is operated by Vermilion Intelligence, a registered business name of Vermilion Ventures Corp Pty Ltd (ABN 43 642 705 815), based in Sydney, Australia. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Vermilion Intelligence. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, for people in New Zealand, the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ).

What we collect

• When you use our enquiry form: your name and email address, your organisation, phone number and area of interest if you choose to give them, and your message. We also record the page you sent it from, the date and time, and your browser's user-agent string, which helps us filter spam.
• When you email us: your name, email address and anything you choose to include in your message, such as your organisation, role and the work you'd like to automate.
• When you visit this website: our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

This website has no analytics or advertising tools and sets no tracking cookies. The enquiry form filters spam with a hidden field and a timing check, not cookies.

How we use it

We use the information you send us, by form or email, to reply to your enquiry, to discuss and deliver any work you ask us to do, and to keep a record of our correspondence. Hosting logs are used only to operate and secure the website. We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for marketing without your consent.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run our business, who handle personal information on our behalf:

• Website hosting: Vercel Inc., which hosts this site on infrastructure that may be located in the United States and other countries.
• Enquiry form storage: Supabase Inc., which stores form submissions in a database hosted in its Sydney, Australia region (ap-southeast-2). The form is processed by our website hosting in Sydney on its way to the database.
• Email: our business email provider, whose services may store data outside Australia.

Enquiries sent by form or email are received and read by Raj Chib at Vermilion Intelligence. Our service providers handle the data on our behalf. Because some providers operate internationally, personal information may be stored or processed overseas, including in the United States. We choose reputable providers and only share what's needed. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

How we protect and keep it

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including access controls and secure, reputable services. We keep enquiries only as long as we need them for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete them.

Please don't send sensitive information, such as health, financial or customer records, in an initial enquiry. If an engagement involves that kind of information, we'll agree how it will be handled first.

Access, correction and questions

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing raj@vermiliong.com.au. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we've handled your personal information, please email us first so we can try to resolve it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (opens in a new tab) or, in New Zealand, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (opens in a new tab).

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
