AI marketing automation in Australia: agents that do the work, not more tools

AI marketing automation, as we do it, means AI agents that take on the repetitive marketing work itself: drafting content from briefs, repurposing it across channels, preparing campaign reports and keeping your CRM tidy. It isn't another platform to learn. Your team sets direction, reviews drafts and approves everything before it's published.

Vermilion Intelligence is an AI and automation consultancy helping mid-to-large organisations in Australia and New Zealand put AI agents to work on repetitive tasks.

Marketing work AI agents can take on

If your marketing team already has the software it needs but not the time, the repeated work of reformatting, resizing, summarising, uploading and reporting is the work we can hand to agents.

Agents work from your brand guidelines, approved messages and past content, and they hand drafts to a person. Nothing goes out under your name without a human approving it.

  • Drafting from briefs

First drafts of blog posts, newsletters, landing pages and social posts, written to your brief and style guide.

  • Repurposing content

Turning one approved piece into channel-ready versions for email, LinkedIn, the website and more.

  • Product and service descriptions

Consistent descriptions built from approved product data and specifications.

  • SEO housekeeping

Page titles, meta descriptions, alt text and internal-link suggestions for a person to check.

  • Campaign reporting

Pulling results from your ad, email and analytics platforms into a regular report with a plain-English summary.

  • CRM and list hygiene

Enriching, de-duplicating and tagging contacts, and logging campaign activity against records.

  • Brand and claims checks

Checking drafts against your style guide and flagging claims that need substantiation.

How it works

How it works

  1. Step 1: Map the content workflow

We look at how content is briefed, written, approved, published and reported on today.

  2. Step 2: Capture your voice

We set agents up with your guidelines, approved messages and examples of good work.

  3. Step 3: Build with approval steps

Agents produce drafts and reports, and a person approves before anything is published.

  4. Step 4: Measure and refine

We track edit rates and turnaround, and tune agents to need fewer corrections.

Keeping AI marketing accurate and compliant

  • People approve what's published

Agents draft; your team edits and signs off. That keeps quality, accuracy and judgement where they belong.

  • Claims need substantiation

Under the Australian Consumer Law, marketing claims must not be misleading. Agents flag claims for checking rather than inventing them.

  • Consent for email and SMS

Commercial messages need consent, sender identification and a working unsubscribe under the Spam Act 2003.

  • Quality over volume

Google's guidance rewards helpful content however it's produced, and treats content made mainly to manipulate rankings as spam.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What marketing tasks can AI agents handle?

AI agents handle the repetitive parts well: first drafts from a brief, repurposing approved content across channels, product descriptions, page titles and meta descriptions, campaign reports and CRM tidy-ups. Strategy, positioning, creative direction and final approval stay with your people, because that's where judgement and accountability matter most.

Does AI-generated content hurt SEO?

Not in itself. Google Search Central's guidance says it rewards helpful, high-quality content however it's produced, while using automation mainly to manipulate rankings breaches its spam policies. AI drafts that a knowledgeable person reviews, corrects and improves can perform well. Unedited, mass-produced pages are the risk.

Will AI-written content sound like our brand?

It can, if the agent is set up properly. We give agents your style guide, approved messages, banned phrases and examples of content you like, then review edit rates in the first weeks. Your team's edits feed back into the instructions, so drafts get closer to your voice over time.
